That happens in provinces too, not just tournaments. Sometimes the battle background does not load properly and you get the black background from you screenshots. Usually retreating and starting the battle again is enough to fix it.

for me, it happens really rarely, yet it wasn't reported as a bug.

I've reported it on the german server, they've declared it as "we don't even have a clue of what you are talking about", it happened again, and I've reported it here.

Yes this happens to me every once and a while as well, also had no hexes so you can't see where your troops can move.

Hi Juni, thanks for your report! We could not reproduce this issue with the latest version of flash player, so please update yours to the latest version (today that's 25.0.0.148) and try again.
