Don't forget, that movement range is a stat too. And Ents walk like 2 fields per round, while those War Dogs can attack ranged enemies instantly with a bonus of 90% attack damage.
But you are right: Ents have 33% more attack damage and 97% more HP (per weight of course). So they can be used to take much damage, while your Archers and Sword Dancer attack. But even those basic elves troops are weak in Damage.
When I started playing I thought Elves would have those high mobility and strog ranged units, as I am used from other games. But here the cliches of fantasy is all upside down.^^

Voting doesn't work. I am just saying humans, because I don't like living as an elf. (Plus have you seen the paladin and cerberus concept art. In my opinion way cooler than an ent or golem.)

I chose Elves, the reason simply being that I had hoped they city cultural buildings would be more fancy and also in most of the games the Elven race is depicted as agile and deadly.. kinda like my play style:cool::p

I am all the way for muscle, power and just break everything in your path. A bit like Caramon in the Dragon lance series.
