Answered Residence level 4

I do not know how to move forward from my level 3 residence and upgrade to a level 4. I have all the resources but it says I have to research the technology needed. I have researched right up to the barracks so am at a loss as to what to do next. Any suggestions? Thanks.

you have reached limit for your level and you need to research "advanced residencies" (look in tech tree after advanced scouts, but I guess that is a bit far in the future for you). If you need more population, build more houses and upgrade them to your max. (there's a quest to have 10 houses and 4 workshops, if you max that, it will be enough for your current era)

PorfirioDiaz is right: I was suggesting you the same thing, Jeland. When you'll have researched advanced residences, you could upgrade them to further levels
