Current situation: The announcement for the update to 1.122 said the redundant confirm box in the trader had been removed. I'm still getting that. I have updated Chrome and use a PC.

3. Notice the confirm box still appears.

It was indeed about the bug @Dony refers to. What you describe is the normal confirmation box, which we don't regard as redundant.

So the "update" was only for those in chapter 17? I'll not say what I'm thinking on that one.
