Not a Bug Dwellers off the beaten tracks

I watch some of my Dwellers cutting the corners, step into flowers and creating new dirt tracks

come and see:

will you please tell them something about nice behavior in the nature?

what I expect: dwellers staying on the streets.
what i get: sometimes they don't

Sometimes they need escape the hustle and bustle and go to harvest some flowers

Our citizens sometimes cut the corners a bit, yes. Maybe we should implement fences to keep them on the streets and stop them from trampling flowers!

But, in all seriousness: this does not seem to be a bug. The citizens always walk on the paths while on the straight lenghts, and only show this behavior as to not make 90 degree turns in the corners - that would be robot-like.
