The new building (clock tower owls) is adorable. While I can't continue with the event except for collecting snowflakes, it's okay by me as it feels a bit ADD after awhile creating the same things over and over again. I liked the cute flip cards too when using up snowflakes. Maybe I'll stay at chapter 2 for awhile admiring the newest addition to my city. I didn't get any of the other buildings but all is well because I may have disenchanted them!

So, now also require encounters to continue with the daily quest line?

I thought it was bad cutting off the main questline, but this is extreme in cutting off the event.

Spent some money on this event on live and I went through 2300 snowflakes plus those I did from events and I got 1 market stall and I have no snowflakes left. I will never spend money on another of these events again.

I really enjoyed this new event lottery thing when it came out on beta and it provided disgraceful value by the time it was adjusted for live for the last event and I really was not impressed and I'm less impressed this time. This is over the top unacceptable odds. This isn't a casino and this expects value for money spent.

@edeba I've made some good designs with just 1 stall, there's hope yet if you get 2 fairs 2 Frost's and 2-8 sleds I can get you max links on all of it

How good is the daily price set? Has someone some calculations showing how good(or bad) the set is.
On live i am still not sure if the set is worth it or total garbage^^

The main price set is bad in my point of view, when you don't need mana or seeds.

I do not have faith that I will have snowflakes for this, but I also had no plans to go for the frost.

Agreed, the main prizes are extremely low interest and none of those will ever see a place in my city.

Just thinking about this more, it is very poor game design to make these so hard to get because they are tiny buildings and not at all worth trying to upgrade when we get the restoration spells, so that was amazingly expensive for something of very tiny game utility. No wonder I feel totally ripped off. Another game I played had the same kind of casino styled lottery system and $50 worth of game resources and I could not get the stupid item. Up until that point I had been a $50-100/month spender and that ended it.

One thing for sure, Inno would be wealthy beyond comprehension if all players were like me, so I don't understand why the slaughter of giving any kind of value for money spent when it doesn't result in more spending, just ill will.

The one time in a FS we did have a short time player that absolutely burned through cash and diamonds in an FA event, I'd estimate in the $300-500 range, but guess what... He quit.

And here's where Inno is leaving money on the table, something like that advent candle should be available for purchase as a gift, a discounted gift if you purchase multiples. It is Christmas and some of us have been playing together for years!

So, a discount for gifting could look like pay for the first 5 get one extra gift, pay the next 4 and get one extra gift, pay for the next 3 and get one extra gift, and after that every two you pay for you get one extra for gifting.

So with that strategy, if someone decided to gift their entire FA, it would work out to 25% off, but a massive sale of 18 extra of these. And make them stackable.

How good is the daily price set?.
If you are in chapters 9+ they are the absolute best buildings ever offered.
Each tiny 2x3,2x4, or 3x3 produces the same as a max level factory and saves you all of the pop, culture supplies and space.
The mana building is as good as 7 Libraries.

Nothing else offered In.the event even comes close.

To be fair, you are doing the event the hardest way possible.
You spent real money to get up to 2300 snowflakes while most players can get 6,000 snowflakes for free.
You have made the choice to cripple your own city for Events that require progress.:(

These 2300 are not here, but on live server and Amuni chapter. And you can't get a lot of 1st pieces without donation or very huge preparation and luck.

Ah I see, well yeah that's lame. I have a live account that spent 1070 for zero buildings. Not as bad as 2300 for 1 but annoying.

I think k I would like the option to buy buildings with snowflakes.

If you need 450 on average to win a building, let us buy one for 500.
You lose all of the instants and other stuff you get while gambling, but at least you will get what you work for.

Especially with sets. Working through an entire event to get a broken set has pissed off a lot of players.

Well, you still can get another one 1st piece if you buy enough snowflakes to get 4th grand prize.

I spent 2300 plus what I had gotten from quests and I got as far as the "gain 12 relics." I went down to 1 snowflake.

I am not one of those who accuse the designers of 'forcing us to buy Diamonds' - a comment that appears with monotonous regularity every time some or other game change is made (most of which turn out to be good and well thought out, and not Diamond-guzzlers - once one gets used to them).

This is one occasion when I am going to make nearly the same claim!

Some of the sets are very good - if you can get them all, which is not at all easy without spending Diamonds. You would need to be very lucky.
So, while we are not being 'forced' to spend Diamonds - the Daily Exclusive Sets are a big juicy carrot dangled in front of our noses to tempt us to spend real money. And I am sure that InnoGames are doing very well out of them!!

I for one do not bother with set buildings at all - I don't want to set myself up to be disappointed,
:)

I disagree. You need to be extremely unlucky not to get 3 daily prizes which is all you need to gain 3 max level factories worth of production.
That saves you about 14 expansions worth of space. That is 14 expansions you don't need to buy with diamonds.

This means that a moderately lucky player with 6-9 daily buildings (the statistical average is around 11)
can have the same production as a player who has purchased all 31 diamond expansions!:eek::eek:

I hope you are right and inno does well with them because this is the most generous and least greedy that they have ever been.

Sorry - I corrected my original post that did not say exactly what I meant - it is the Daily Exclusive Set that I was referring to. That requires tons of luck to get all five. And that is where we are being tempted to spend real money when we have 3 or 4 of them - and run out of snowflakes on the next one that appears!

Again, no. I don't think you have looked closely enough at the daily set. Re-read my post above, that is the set I was talking about too. There is no need to go for all 5, 3 is totally awesome, and even if you do want all 5, it by no means requires "tons of luck" to get all 5. On average if you do all of the quests you should win 11 buildings. 5 does not = tons of luck.

You have lots of followers here and on FB jack, I hope you aren't pushing them away from the best and easiest to get buildings ever offered.

Bottom line: The daily set is the best ever offered, and very easy to get 3 of them which is all you need (more, of course, is even better)

if you missed the stall, no problem, get a frost carved tree instead.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but this is the best build for the five Daily buildings, which, due to Soggy's persistent use of logic, (ugh) I am now striving to achieve.

This connects every building as much as possible, giving every building all the bonuses. I apologize for the handwriting, it's so bad it is legally classified in 17 states as military-grade encryption.
