Other Scale AWs by chapter - AW multiplier

With the new tournament formula in some cases the values of the AW has been grossly slaughter and many AWs do not scale to chapter increases.

Applying a compounding chapter multiplier could really work around this issue.

So, for example, both Maze and Dragon Abby are given in chapter 10, Sorcerers and Dragons. Leveling gives more mana from these AWs, but going through the tech tree increases mana costs and both of these AWs increase by doing more map provinces and that does not allow either to come anywhere close to scaling for increased mana costs.

My suggestion is to add a chapter multiplier to account for the devaluation of the AWs from technology progression.

The tech part of the formula for squad size, which also scales mana requirements to cater in both the tournament and spire is give by:

Chapter squad size increase = (1.00415^M-1)*100%, where M is the unlocked mandatory tech.

The tech for each chapter goes as follows:
  1. Chapter 1 - 18 required, 2 optional
  2. Chapter 2 - 22 required, 2 optional
  3. Chapter 3 - 22 required, 5 optional
  4. Chapter 4 - 21 required, 1 optional
  5. Chapter 5 - 20 required, 4 optional
  6. Chapter 6 - 26 required, 2 optional
  7. Chapter 7 - 25 required, 6 optional
  8. Chapter 8 - 27 required, 4 optional
  9. Chapter 9 - 24 required, 7 optional
  10. Chapter 10 - 27 required, 2 optional
  11. Chapter 11 - 28 required, 1 optional
  12. Chapter 12 - 29 required, 1 optional
  13. Chapter 13 - 32 required, 1 optional
  14. Chapter 14 - 31 required, 1 optional
  15. Chapter 15 - 28 required, 8 optional
  16. Chapter 16 - 27 required, 13 optional
  17. Chapter 17 - 29 required, 8 optional
  18. Chapter 18 - 38 required, 4 optional
  19. Chapter 19 - 35 required, 8 optional

So for an idea of how much the mana costs for catering would increase would be as follows:

  1. Chapter 11 - (1.00415^28 - 1)*100%= 12.3%
  2. Chapter 12 - (1.00415^29 - 1)*100%= 12.8%
  3. Chapter 13 - (1.00415^32 - 1)*100%= 14.2%
  4. Chapter 14 - (1.00415^31 - 1)*100%= 13.6%
  5. Chapter 15 - same as chapter 11, 12.3%
  6. Chapter 16 - (1.00415^27 - 1)*100%= 11.8%
  7. Chapter 17 - same as chapter 12, 12.8%
  8. Chapter 18 - (1.00415^38 - 1)*100%= 17%
  9. Chapter 19 - (1.00415^35 - 1)*100%= 15.6%
Mana costs are also scaled up with placing expansions, and with every other AW level gained, and these simply cause enormous AW benefit deflation.

Collectively, without increasing expansions or other AW levels, the technology "advancement" devaluation of these AWs from when they were issued to chapter 19 is a whopping 215%, and it is even higher considering placed expansions and having done other AW levels also cause massive AW deflation.

So the tech devaluation of AWs works out to about an average of about 13.5% per chapter so there should be a tech multiplier to ensure the AW keeps its value.

So the AW chapter tech multiplier formula should be:

AW multiplier = 1.135^(current chapter - chapter AW was issued)

Even with this kind of multiplier applied, the AWs are still devalued by adding other AW levels and expansions. Also, AWs are at the end of a chapter, so the multiplier could be skipper for one chapter as it really is designed for where the game is at that point, in which case the formula would be:

AW multiplier = 1.135^(current chapter - 1 - chapter AW was issue) or 1 if negative (which it would be until the next chapter is started)

For these two AWs, increasing by locking more provinces is an increase equivalent to adding an extra drop of water to a liter of water, it is simply too small to notice any improvement. Even going up by a level is underpowered. If you have 600 open provinces, the DA goes up by 600, which is a lot at chapter 11, but not much at chapter 19 where you need 100 thousands of mana.
