Restructuring Ideas & Suggestions Forum

Hi everyone!

Just a short notice about an upcoming change we are making in the "Ideas & Suggestions" section on our forums. To be just plain honest: We see room for improvement here and we need to restructure this section to make that work properly. Our point of view is that we want to be able to process your ideas better, give a more realistic view on what will and what will not be implemented in the game and to be able to keep you updated better about your ideas and the process. At the moment it's quite a chaotic section and although we might know what happened to some of the ideas, we can also imagine that for you as a player it's totally unclear. We want to improve the communication here so that we're able to work out the ideas together with you and keep you updated on what happens with them.

That being said, I also have to be honest about the number of ideas we're getting (and on such a devoted community as Beta, that's a LOT!) and the number of ideas we can actually forward to our Development Team. There's already a very clear vision about where this game is going for the upcoming years, so ideas would have to be really good, relatively easy to implement and would need the support of a majority of our players to be processed. This means we will need some guidelines to make this work. We want to be able help you get your ideas processed, but you would have to help us do that by sticking to these guidelines. Therefore I have created an explanation thread here, which tells you all about the process we're going to follow. Please read it carefully before posting any ideas. It might seem as a highly organised structure and basically it is, but for us it's the only way to be able to keep you updated on the ideas properly and keep communication going, which we want to do. This also means that sometimes we'll have to tell you that ideas aren't going to make it into the game (or at least not for now), but better be open about it than keep you in the dark.

Also we want to ask you to please give us some time to get through all the current ideas in the next week. @AmySteele and myself will be mainly responsible for this, but as you can see we have more than 20 pages of ideas to get sorted out right now, so please allow us some time for that :D

Thank you very much for your cooperation, we're looking forward to improving on this point as well!

Kind regards,
Your Elvenar Beta Team
