An Ancient Rune has nothing to do with the Ancient Wonders, nor Rune Shards, it is a Culture Building.

I am afraid that this quest is actually referring to 'Ancient Runes", and this is a 2x1 decoration, not to be confused with a "rune shard" that is needed for AWs

omg. of course. ancient runes the decoration, not rune shards for ancient wonders which we win when we clear the 8 provinces in the province to get relics and one rune shard, which may break into shards but if we save 9 shards from broken rune shards we can get one whole rune shard back, not to be mistaken for a shard. Kudos to the guys in the naming dept. Gunter, Gunter, Gunter and Steve do a great job.
