order of quests

I got a quest to research advanced scouts, after finishing that, I got a quest to research ents, which I had needed to research already in order to be able to research advanced scouts. So seems to me it would make more sense to have a quest to research ents before the quest to research advanced scouts.

I think I've seen this mentioned around the forum previously but I can't find a post on it. Maybe I was talking about it with someone in a private message when the same happened to me.
