Dear Elvenarians,

I'm thrilled to bring you an update on our roadmap, sharing what's in store for the upcoming months and how your experiences in Elvenar are set to become even more enchanting.

As you are likely aware, we are very much focused on enhancing the heart of Elvenar, focusing on improving core elements like Ancient Wonders and the Spire of Eternity. Some of these improvements have already made their way to you, and we promise there will be more coming. Those improvements to core Elvenar features are of course very important but we also do not forget about our dedicated players who have already managed to get to the end of the content. We also have something for those players coming very, very soon... Hope you have your provisions packed for another adventure!

While we work on those big features, we are also dedicated to fine-tuning the little things that make your daily adventures in Elvenar less of a grind – like search bar and sorting in Inventories we implemented recently. These small but mighty improvements aim to smooth out those pesky daily tasks, ensuring your time in-game is as enjoyable as possible. We are always looking for easy to implement, but impactful changes like this, so make sure to let us know if you have more ideas for such improvements!

Our eyes are always on the long-term well-being of our game, planning for the fun and long future of Elvenar. This includes a thoughtful approach to game balancing. The recent adjustments to Ancient Wonders were a part of this process. However, we do acknowledge that there's room for improvement in how we communicate and involve you in these kinds of changes. Expect to hear more soon, well ahead of any future adjustments making their way to live servers. (изменено)
Of course, rewards are always a hot topic of discussion - ensuring they are both desired to diverse types of players and worth your dedication, without causing imbalances like the notorious Fire Phoenix, which is a must-have in every fighter city. With this in mind, we're also working on adjusting rewards in the Spire to strike a better balance - think valuable, but more specific in use rewards such as Blueprints and Pet Food that add depth without disrupting the whole game economy.

Diving deeper into the Spire of Eternity, we have already rolled out some tweaks, improving the reward visibility right from the start screen and enriching the UI with more information to keep you better aware of the Spire's state. Not to mention, a new Spire Tab for easier access to information about your Fellowship’s progress.

There is more coming connected to the Spire – it will soon get some special effects dedicated solely to it! Plus, we're working on a very Special Ancient Wonder that will only be available to Spire enthusiasts, offering the most valuable reward we have ever introduced (no spoilers here yet...).

While we're buzzing with excitement, remember these are plans and, as with all plans, they may evolve and change with time.

Thank you for your unwavering passion and involvement. Your feedback and suggestions are what motivates us to continue working hard on the game we love so dearly!

Keep on playing!

We have a new Event coming up!

Builders of Harmony - On Beta from July 3rd

Now that the lush lands of the Sun and Moon Dwarves are open to all with the help of the Solunar Nexus, an expedition team of dwarves, elves, and humans embarks on a journey through the verdant forests of this enchanted land, seeking new and amazing wonders to discover. As they venture deeper, the group stumbles upon a mysterious portal and a pile of weathered blueprints. The dwarves, keen-eyed and meticulous, quickly realize that two-thirds of these precious plans have been washed away, leaving only fragments of the whole. They become disheartened until the elves realize that each race perceives a unique portion of the remaining blueprints. United by their shared discovery, the dwarves, elves, and humans come to an inspiring conclusion: only by combining their distinct perspectives can they decipher the secrets of the blueprints. Through collaboration, they begin to unlock the path to constructing the magnificent Tower of Unity, a beacon of harmony and ingenuity. Are you ready to join this thrilling expedition? Help the group build the Tower of Unity and be part of a story where the true power of cooperation and understanding is revealed.

Main Prize: A switchable evolution whose production profile was decided by the Community Poll, Tower of Unity

The building produces Population, Culture and it is switchable between Barracks Heavy Melee, Boosted Goods+Unurium, Ancient Wonder Knowledge Points and Combining Catalyst depending on the building's stage.

A new expiring building: Die of Fortune with the following pool

  • 30x Diamonds 5%
  • Sip of Clarity 5%
  • Spectral Stone 5%
  • 3x KP 5%
  • 1x CC 5%
  • Goods1 25%
  • Goods2 25%
  • Goods3 25%

Published on this forum by @Karvest

Hi everyone,
As we pave the way for upcoming new and exciting Spire content and features (a new Spire Wonder and several effects to boost your Spire runs), we want to start by bringing in some changes and additions to the current Spire rewards! We think these changes will maintain the balance of the Spire without compromising on the excitement and fun it brings you, and we would love to listen to your feedback when these new rewards are available on Beta. We will let you know in advance when this happens. Here is a list of what you can look forward to winning in the Spire:

  • Eldian Sapphires - This new crafting currency allows you to buy premium culture buildings! (new)
  • Pet Food (new)
  • Blueprints (new)
  • Tomes (new)
  • Vitality Surges (new)
  • Spectral Stones (new)
  • Royal Restorations (almost 3x as much)
  • Spell Fragments (almost 2x as much)
As you can see, there are quite a few new additions, as well as a substantial increase in highly requested Royal Restorations and Spell Fragments!

We also want to mention some changes which will seem less positive, and explain why they are taking place:

Time Reduction Spells were being accumulated instead of used, making them less valuable, so they have been adjusted (-45%) to make room for more useful rewards to help overcome encounters, such as Vitality Surges. Mystery Chests also get different rewards, ensuring that each chest offers interesting and valuable items.

Free diamonds are still available, albeit in reduced (-55%) quantities. By doing this, we are making sure the game's economy stays healthy while providing rewards of equal or higher value. You will still be able to save up Diamonds to spend on premium buildings or Royal Prize passes, just at a slightly slower pace. We also hope that since we are giving out Blueprints, Spectral Stones, Royal Restorations and Vitality Surges, the Diamonds you would otherwise spend on those can be saved and used on something else.

Magic Residences and Workshops were removed, bringing them back to their initial purpose of being exclusive premium buildings! These buildings were also intended to be upgraded with blueprints, which was not happening as much because they were available as rewards themselves. You will still be able to get them with the free Diamonds you get in the game, of course.

We hope these new rewards keep you engaged in the Spire! We look forward to all your feedback as we plan to go through it carefully, and make adjustments where needed!
Kind regards, Your Elvenar Team

There was one post a while ago saying it would be released 'soon'.
Then at the start of June there was an announcement it would be released 'in about a month'.
Last update we heard was that Chap 22 would be released in July (on Beta first of course). Now we are 9 days in and still no news on Beta about it from Inno. True, 'July' could mean on the 31st, but still, one would expect some kind of communication. Then again, communication has never been Inno's strong suit.

Hi everyone!

In response to the valuable feedback we have received regarding the recent announcement about the new Spire Rewards, we have carefully considered your input and made several adjustments to our plan. Additionally, we also want to provide you a detailed comparison between the current and future rewards so you can fully understand the changes.

Some of the concerns raised were about the removal of Magic buildings (which are particularly important for our players in lower chapters), the reduction of Time Boosters, and the lack of Spells useful for both negotiators and fighters. We have addressed all these points and believe we have found a better balance, ensuring you can continue venturing the Spire.

For the Magic buildings, we will introduce the new Tome of Magical Foundations in the second stage Boss reward pool that allows you to choose between a Magical Residence, a Magical Workshop, or a Blueprint. This way, newer players can still acquire these buildings by playing the Spire, while those who prefer a Blueprint have that option as well.

To address the concerns about Time Boosters and the lack or options for negotiators and fighters, we will add 3 new Tomes of Threefold Virtues, providing Spectral Stones, Vitality Surges, and Time Boosters – the farthest you progress, the better the Tome you will get. Additionally, even after using all the Time Boosters throughout the Spire, you’ll still have a surplus of at least 71 hours by the end.

There was some confusion regarding the removal of Teleport Building Spells and Diamonds. To clarify: the total number of Teleport Building Spells is still the same, but the average amount you can win per week after completing all three stages will decrease by 1; Diamonds have been reduced, yes, but you can still earn them from Encounter chests, Boss chests, Mystery chests, and Fellowship Rewards.

You brought up two other interesting points about the Portal Profit and a Spire Shop. We have an idea for a new, more powerful spell akin to the Portal Profit, which will be added in the future. On top of that, we're planning to introduce a Spire Shop featuring a variety of cool items for you to acquire. Both of these features are not coming right away but we will let you know once they are ready.

It is always crucial for us to hear from our community so we can make the game as balanced and enjoyable as possible. We will continue reading your comments and gathering feedback to look for any other tweaks we can make.

Below, you can find specific details about the new rewards, where to get them, and how they compare to the previous rewards. We hope this gives you a clearer overview and answers most, if not all, of your questions.

Once again, thank you for your ongoing support and feedback and please continue to share it with us https://discord.com/channels/1136205917306753035/1156669477707067504.

A decrease of diamonds in the spire is not an option; it's the only reason why I would want to climb it for myself and it's already too expensive.
A decrease = not in our interest. The diamonds are whey too expensive to buy, so making them even more hard to get, is bad for the game.

First week of August has passed and still no update from Inno.
Just saying....communication is definitely not their strong suit. Come to think on it, neither is planning.

Brooks Law: Adding manpower to a late software project makes it even later.

Weinbergs Second Law: If builders would build buildings the way programmers write programs, the first woodpecker to come along would destroy civilization as we know it.

Both are btw in line with Cheops's Law: Nothing ever gets built on schedule and within budget.

Especially for governments, but not limited to them there is Westheimer's Rule:
To accurately estimate the time it takes to complete a task: take the given estimate of the time it should take, multiply it by 2 and then change the unit used to the one of the next magnitude.
Thus you will need to allocate 2 days for a 1 hour task, or 4 weeks for a 2 day job etc.

(On a personal note; same principle works on costs too btw: take the given estimate of the cost; double it and add a zero)

It is not an option, it is a fact, whether players like it or not.

Hi @Dhurrin, sadly no good news: due to some assets missing, chapter 22 release has been postponed to september (fingers crossed for no further delay).
Today Spire of Eternity changes have been released in Beta server, and now you can find the new resource Eldian Sapphire
2t0GkwN.png

that can be used in place of Diamonds to buy Premium cultural buildings (ratio is from 1 to 10 Eldian Sapphire per building tile)

And can't be used for premium expansions => Replacing usefull dia for garbage (together with time instants reduction the whole reason of this change).

Indeed, as I said "can be used to buy Premium cultural buildings" ;)

Well, they still can change premium expansion costs to sapphires as well, but even with that replacing diamonds with sapphires will greatly reduce the variety of use cases.

About ch22 - seems it's the same issue as it was earlier with "early chapter progression speedup" which postponed introduction of new chapter until "speedup" was finalized, but now with spire changes. At least all graphic assets (which was an excuse earlier) are already in client files.

However, I have no issue with that for 2 reasons
1 -The introduction of free diamonds took away a source of revenue for Inno (we warned them about that). And though a lot of people don't seem to understand, a free game needs some kind of revenue in order for it to be free for so many players.
2 - it introduces a way to bring more of the premium buildings into play. They are pretty good and have pretty artwork and are not widely placed because of the prohibitive cost in diamonds. Most people will spend their precious diamonds on other things

Problem is, most premium buildings seem to be not better than what you can win in events.

In various cases it is like that, I agree. But there are some "good" buildings among those premium culture buildings too I guess.
Just picking one counterexample, my main city is in chapter 17 and got a Elven Float which gives culture and population on 3x5.

In my chapter this would be 7,7K of population and 10,3K of culture. Ok, the Elven Float is not an event building but most of the event buildings have nearly the same or even lower values like for example the Chicken Farm with 6,1K of population and 7,7K of culture.

If I compare this with the monkey palace, that can be bought in chapter 17 and is 3x5 too, the premium culture building is looking a lot "stronger".
Especially in a case where I would like to ad as much population on 3x5 as possible, I would think about buying one.
Plus I already got almost 50 Eldian Sapphire after having played just half a spire with the new rewards active.

Since premium buildings are giving RRs when being sold this can be a way to generate CCs when moving to next chapter and selling those premium culture buildings bought with Eldian Sapphire. ;)

And?
For some reason a lot of players seem to think they should get everything for free. But the devs are not working for free, nor is the serverspace and maintenance etc for free.
EVERYONE can play this game for free and enjoy the game. But as I said before, there needs to be some kind of revenue generated. Players who play for free should (in my opinion) not complain that some features that are paid for are better than the ones one gets for free.

This step may be a reason to make the premium buildings a bit stronger (that is, if Inno intends to keep the game running, something I'm not convinced of). Either future ones, or a retro-active upgrade of some or all of the ones that already exist to make them more competetive

Personally I warned Inno when they added the magical workshops and residences as a possible free reward; I feel those never should have been added as possible Spire rewards and taking them out was a justified action, though they mitigated that as they now have added a chance to that new tome.
