Hello fellow explorer,

I see you have wandered into my budding city. I know I know, it isn’t much now, but you’ll see - soon this small collection of houses will be a buzzing metropolis!

I assume you are new here…I am too but don’t worry! You’ll start feeling right at home in no time. I won’t deny that living next to elves is something you’ll need to get used to but they are friendly and are easy to trade with - for the most part. I’ll get to that some other time… Anyway, since both of us are outsiders to this strange world I’ll take you under my wing. Sure, I don’t have much experience but I’m sure you can learn from my mistakes and my time here. After all, my city is still more developed than yours and I could use a friend around here.

But first things first, I’ll need to give you a roundup of what you can expect your first few days. To start off with, I can assure you that the folks are very welcoming to strangers. They will introduce you to basic information you need to know, including how to build, generate resources, explore and research new technologies.
The first thing you’ll need to master is how to create residences and workshops - which are your main source of expansion power at the beginning. Without them you won’t be able to create other structures or explore the map. You’ll start with very limited space so think before you build! The good thing is that even if you recklessly start constructing, you will still have options if you run out of space. You can always upgrade buildings by spending coins and storage. This means that in the same space you can produce more resources.

Of course as you continue to grow your city other buildings will be available. There are multiple types under five different categories: basics, streets, military, goods and culture. Before you can construct these you will need to research new technologies, which brings me to the second thing you will learn: how to research.
In order to research new technologies you will need to trade in knowledge points. Just like everything, you should start with the basics. Within the first few hours or minutes of leadership your people will gain the skill and knowledge to make marble, steel and planks. This will bring new buildings to your domain but also new trading chips! Don’t look at me all weird, you will need resources to trade and barter in the regions. Oh silly me! I haven’t told you about the map!

The third skill you’ll learn is how to scout and explore Elvenar. Within the world map you have the option to scout or collect relics. Relics boost your economy while exploring the map leads to bigger neighborhoods. What I mean by this is that scouting new provinces and collecting all of the relics within them will lead to expansions after a certain number of them. As far as the relics are concerned, there is a plethora of them and each unique province holds a particular one. There are two different ways to get them: by trading or fighting for them. This is up to you but it’s sometimes easier to just trade if your army isn’t strong enough. In the end it is your decision how you want to deal with your neighbors.

Well I think that is enough for our first encounter. I know it’s a lot of information to digest so I’ll give you updates on my city over time, so don’t forget to come back!
