All buildings in Elvenar are categorised. Some are Residential (those which provide population, and/or coins). Some are Culture (Those which provide happiness for your population, and which in later chapters also provide Mana). Then there are Goods buildings (which give you Goods!), Workshops (which give you Supplies) and Military buildings (where you can train Military units). All of these 'produce' something, and most give you something you can collect - whether Goods, military units or Coins... yet not all of them are actually 'production' buildings. You can see all the main buildings in their respective categories on the Wiki Buildings page. In fact the only building I have listed so far which is strictly categorised as a 'production' building is the Workshop!
This is very condescending and belittling....and still doesn't help with the confusion or frustration. We do know what general buildings do. Why the need to be so defensive here? This really doesn't help. I don't think any further mod reply was needed here, after the CM response.
It would be up to INNO to remove the word "produce" from their game and Wiki site since it is causing so much confusion. It's not
our fault. Instead of the current mod replies, how about seeing the true problem here and working on improving the issue(s) at hand instead.
Open communication and understanding really helps everyone.
I don't mean to nag you guys so often lately but until there is some more understanding and willingness to work with us, I'm going to keep responding and explaining the frustrations from the community's side.
If something in our town says it
produces/or states its
production time and you make a cauldron spell/effect for that specific wording to get a cauldron boost, then we would obviously expect to get a bonus on those buildings that say they "
produce". Again, the wording is not our mistake. It causes too much confusion and hassle.
Here you specifically show that Ancient Wonders don't count for Enar's Boon. This spell says: " Increases your
production of mana. This is only applied on
produced resources, *not on spells or any other effects, like
Set Bonuses*. (see above)
Then,
@Biloutte91 shows a screenshot of the Wise Golem, where it specifically shows its
production time.
You
answer that (obviously) the Wise Golem isn't an Ancient Wonder. It's an event building so the Cauldron boost does not apply.
But then you parenthesize that because it is a stand alone event building, and not part of a
set, that is why they are not receiving the bonus...but sets are also excluded from this boost. The wording is very confusing, throughout each reply given in this thread.
Similarly, Ancient Wonders are in their own category. Even though the Wiki tends to use the word 'produces' for some of them for the items they provide you with, this does not mean they are categorised as 'production buildings'.
The fact that this is something that has to be explained is INNO's fault. Of course players are going to be confused about all of this.
The devs are very particular with what we can/can't have these days and the way they've chosen to move forward makes no sense with how this game was run in the past.
It's complicated and confusing now. Who wants to take the time to really pick apart the wording from the wiki and other areas of the game to see what applies or doesn't?!
Make this game easier and more user friendly. The Cauldron is a nightmare that needs more instruction. Look at the break down formulas in the
Cauldron Discussion Thread. Thank goodness we have players willing to do this for the community, but most players are not going to take the time or have the patience to figure all of this out. We just want to enjoy our building game.
This game is becoming strict nonsense that does not motivate a player to play Elvenar. In fact, it is becoming more frustrating, stingy and
confusing.
I really don't think we need moderator break down explanations in situations like these. It still isn't acceptable, if you are explaining the difference between produce and productions. It's still wrong that the devs or whoever decided that these already awful cauldron boosts don't count towards half of the buildings in someone's town. This is a shady practice done by whoever came up with Cauldron effects and what they do (and mostly don't) apply to. Please get behind your players on this forum. We are all begging for help in these threads lately.
