Communication Mailing all Mages (Archmage + Mage) with tickbox

We have a nice option to message all FS members.
Less often, but still enough to my opion you want to mail all Mages in your FS about suggestions, problems or whatever.
Now you have to grab all these together yourself and is not easy. Certainly with some long and "difficult" names.

So i would suggest to add a Tickbox so you can compose a mail to all Mages easily.

Another better way would be a combobox where you select the "mail-group".

These "mail-groups" could possibly be extended in the future with customized FS "mail-groups" by the Mages as second suggestion.

It is lot easier to pick the mages/individual fs members on mobile, so while not ideal I sometimes start the message on mobile with a short text and then switch to browser to write a longer message as a reply to my short message.

I totally agree with @Droopy suggestion. I am the AM on a live server and I find it annoying to have to type their name all the time. My fix is to have a thread dedicated to AM + M only. Unfortunately threads are gone after a certain period of time and I have to start it over and over again while losing important discussions.

+1 from me!

Yes, I like @Droopy's proposal, too. As AM on live I have written the names of my Mages in OneNote, and I always copy them as a unit. If we have a tick-box or mail-group it would be easier for everyone.

An easy solution to specialised groups is to keep a notepad file on your desktop with all the groups into it, this way you can evenly set up easy mails that combine 2-3 fellowships together.

When you make a post you just grab the line with all the 70 players on it and copy paste it into the mail reciever box.

As The Fairy said, this is the app version:

I forgot to meantion that i'm using mainly the Browser (app also doesn't support emoticons, but thats less important).
Selecting the Mages as shown in the app screenshot would make it already a bit easier, but still not be the same easy solution as i suggest.

Using notepad files as workaround is ofcourse possible, but uhum this doesn't feel user friendly ;-)

I hope INNO is taking my suggestion in consideration :)

Your suggestion is easier if you want to message all mages, but the app solution is more flexible. Maybe you want to message ambassadors too? Or only the ambassadors. Or selected players independent of their role? (Yes, I sometimes do that.) So I think I would prefer the app solution in browser too.

Then the roles should be also made visible in the list, because i cannot see that in your screenshot and beside that i've still to scroll through all members and pick them out. But you're right it's more flexible in chosing multiple members.

I might hope you know who you made mage and are mages lol

Combining the ideas would meet best of both worlds.

A combobox with the predefined mail-groups and when you select from there automaticly all members in the mail-group will be added as recipients. After that you can even delete or add extra in the list of recipients.
Next to that make the role visible. This can be done with an abbreviation to avoid long text (AM, M, A, F)

As The Fairy said, this is the app version: ...

That is only available to players using the mobile app. You go to the create message tab and then tap on the line where the names of who you are sending to goes and then this menu opens up.

And there's the rub ... It is not possible for players using the browser version. Therefore, it would be nice to implement this feature in the browser version as well.

I have just tried the mail in the app and I managed to do it but now I'm back on the browser and the mail is not found at all and the person I sent it to (browser) didn't get it.

@Marjade not sure what to tell you. In my US city, I sent a test message to someone I have not discovered with the mobile app and, while I did not get a reply, my sent message is showing in the Outbox of the browser's message system. So I have evidence it actually sent from the app. If it is not showing for you there, then maybe there is a bug in the Beta version?

I just sent you a message from the app to test things and my sent message is showing with my other messages. I also tested to see if the system tells you when you type in a name that does not exist and it does tell you.

I saw your message in the browser version. I have to cheque later if it shows in the app, so I let you know tomorrow okay
