Not a Bug forum alerts when expanded have no close button.

Quest title:

Current situation: (maybe not a bug) but when expanding the alerts to full view there is no close button (you can hit the forum button at top to get out or pick a link in the alerts)

Expected situation: for there to be an X (or another option) at the top to close the page

Reproduction Steps:
1. open forum
2. double click the alert button at the bottom of the page
2. see that the full size page doesn't have a close option
3.

Also not a bug, but needs to be looked at is the green start a thread button that is way to far away from the page and has nothing written under it to tell you it is the add a thread button. It took me 5 min, to figure out how to start this thread.

On the alerts problem, I found clicking anywhere outside the list closed the pop-up.
Agree on the green button.
