Elven Architect Down

I know, the website is not affiliated, but it has been down all day. Any knowledge about if this is permanent, if the 'owner' has been contacted...

On my non-beta game I'm in chapters 17 and done with 22. Those lands are too big to rework without Architect. Also, I help my FS mates by redoing their lands and sending them an Architect file to follow. I love doing it, but much of what I enjoy will be lost if this tool is no longer going to be available.

Tell me something good... (name the artist/s)

Same here, can't really do without it anymore. But good news, it works again. The only thing that is still wrong since the revaluation of the wonders is the culture.

Both Elven stats and the Architect are usually down for a short period after Inno released Elvenar updates and/or new events and FSA starts... most times their servers need a reset, which sometimes takes a few days....

Unpack this into your Chrome overrides folder and you will be able to see new buildings in architect planner if you load it with devtools open. MacOS version by @Ambro using different encoding for ? character which is illegal for file name in windows and replaced with %3F in my archive.
Switch Architect to English before opening dev tools

(only English db is included, or you can duplicate it with fr or de in its filename.)

Client buildings DB is copypasted as is, without sorting and cleanup, so order in a buildings menu is messed up a bit (ordered not by chapter, but by internal id, which places ch17 buildings first).

Hello,

Do I still need these new client files even if Elvenarchitect is running perfectly for me?
I'm on Chapter 15, and all buildings are displayed correctly.
Or has something changed and I'll need this file in the future?

Without fresh db you can't see any building which was introduced since the time it was updated. (Azure Phoenix, for example).

Well, I can't install the extension.
...but it's pretty complicated for someone new like me.
After unpacking it into the Chrome Extensions folder, I always get the following error message:

Manifest file is missing or unreadable
Manifest could not be loaded.

I don't know what to do now...

Now I've noticed something:

The "CSS" folder is empty...
...it should contain the file
"page-city.planner.min......."

it's not an extension, it's just a local override for chrome dev tools. There is a link how to enable it in original post.
reuploaded archive, seems I messed something up while repacking it earlier.

I can't get it to work.

The error message remains the same.

The files are now complete, but I'm still seeing this error message:
"Manifest file is missing or unreadable
Manifest could not be loaded."

Otherwise, the files are arranged the same way as yours, but no new buildings are displayed on the Elven Architect.

I'll wait and see if other players can install it and get it running.

there are shouldn't be anything manifest-related. You just need to enable local overrides, extract files there and reload architect planner with dev tools opened.

Ha, your override works perfectly.

...but only if you manage to switch the Elven Architect from German to English.

It's not that easy when you access the Architect from Elvenstats.

I switched Elvenstats to English, and the Architect still opens in German.
(Elvenstats ALWAYS automatically switches the Architect back to German.)

It only works if you create a link in the Architect that you can use to share your city with friends.

Open a new, empty browser window...
...and then open the dev tools...
If I now simply launch the Architect with the friend link directly from the browser bar, it starts in English.

The override recognizes that you're on the Elven Architects page.

...and it works perfectly.

But that's quite complicated.

You wrote that your override can be changed to German. Can you describe that in more detail?

you can make a copy of city-planner-game.en.json%3Fv=1727638973 file and rename it to city-planner-game.de.json%3Fv=1727638973 (or city-planner-game.fr.json%3Fv=1727638973 for french)

No, it only works for me using the procedure I described.

You have to start the architect with the dev tools active, and because Elvenstats opens a new window with the dev tools NOT open, your override doesn't work.

I can't import a city in the architect itself because Elvenstats immediately opens again when I try...

So I first need the friend link from the architect that I opened with Elvenstats...

...and this architect then starts in English, so a ".de" file doesn't work.

you can open dev tools after opening your city from elvenstats and press refresh (F5), it will reload with overridden db.
override for all 3 languages should look like this:

I'd like to explain the entire procedure in detail for those new to PCs:

First, you need to find the CHROME folder.

This is usually located at:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome

There, you need to create a new subfolder if you don't have any overrides yet.

It's best to name it Override.

Unzip the Karvest ZIP archive into this folder.

Then open the Dev Tools (Developer Tools).

If you haven't created any overrides yet, click Overrides and you'll probably be asked for this folder. Otherwise, you'll need to unzip the archive into your folder, which already contains overrides.

You can find the "Overrides" by first clicking on "Sources" and then selecting the double arrow ( >> ) next to "Content Scripts" and "Overrides."

Then make sure you've enabled the overrides. Click the corresponding box...

If you've specified your folder and can see the web address www.elvenarchitect.com there, you're already done...

Unfortunately, you'll have to reopen the Dev Tools every time you come from Elvenstats and a new window with the Elvenarchitect opens.

Then refresh the architect with the "F5" key, and you'll have all the new building sites and new buildings on your screen...

howto for firefox:
1. install resource override extension,
2. download attached file
3. open extension settings
4. press options button
5. load rules from the file downloaded at step 2, if it shows "Load Failed: Invalid JSON in file." then unpack it before loading
6. use planner as usual (apart from Chrome local overrides version you don't need to have dev tools open when loading architect for it to work)
