I tested that. It does not make one whit difference. On cellular data, it notifies me "hey, updates available, want to download, cell data may cost extra so maybe swap to wifi, yesno". I download on mobile, because I have unlimited data. But I have also cleaned data (and cache) and then...

Heyas! Now that the event is starting in US6/Sinya Arda... ...THE BADGE IS THERE. I'll attach a screenshot in a bit.

Well, just like before, the event started without a hassle and now the badge is in its place, showing the number of chips and duration left. While this is not the most world-crushing thing to happen, it is still nice to be informed about when events start. ;)

Scant hours till the event starts, still missing (if there has been fixing attempts).

The badge is still missing; I checked for updates, closed the app via force, started anew, no change. Last time Karvest had the same issue as I did. Edit: I wiped data and cache a moment ago, made it reload all; everything is still sans badge.

Wait, there was a typo. I'll note that this happened with Zodiac event as well, as reported before.

Good news: while the countdown symbol remained missing 'till the end, the event started normally and I can tap the symbol etc. Game loaded extra content and notified me of the event.

My screen resolution seems to be 2560 x 1600 pixels. App is up to date; Google Play does not show any new updates for it, and I logged off from Beta, went to US6, came back to Beta. Server was rebooting, but after reboot, no badge still.

Note: I have emptied the cache, and I've also removed data, making the game reload all that, and it still remains without badge in app.
