Why would this be an enticement to the live cities? "You'll get a few decent quests that you can do, then you will be plagued with Scout a Province and 15 Vision Vapor quests for the rest of the event, which lasts a month! Have Fun!!"

@Maillie I would LOVE to get "Scout a Province". I am in Chapter 3 and my last 7 quests have been

Produce any type of good
Produce fresh supplies
Produce marble, steel or planks
Produce supplies
Trade with wholesaler
Produce fresh supplies
Produce marble, steel or planks

Scout a province takes me an hour and a half. Each of these takes me a day and a half in chapter 3.

If I got these in my Chapter 10 City on Live I would breeze through them. I don't know what the game is doing but it seems to be prioritizing the hardest tasks based on level and repeating them often.

meaning the balancing has been f*****

"they'll end up with more "bonus time" for the bonus segment, "

Sure, but for some people, 15 days to do 10 quests to have 200 ribbons ... useless
In the past, we can accelerate with time reduction, but you suppress it (the reward ribbons/4 and increase the price of time (and reduce the number !)).
We complain about having the same blocking quest (>2 days) and even after 3 months, we are at the same point.

and if ... within 16 gifts, the daily prize was repeated? This would increase the chances of at least getting more daily prizes, which is what many of us want ... if you add the ability to use "shuffle" whenever you want and do not force you to use it once you find it, it would change the thing a lot ( already putting two daily prizes you could remove the unicorns-horses-flaming flames-1pdc ...)

Again that unbalances things. This is all fine and well for high level players who have no need for these ridiculous culture buildings BUT in chapter 3 where I am constantly running low on culture within the tight confines of my tiny City these buildings are actually useful.

The challenge to the development team is to make an event that is balanced across the board from beginner player to high level player.

As I said earlier this event is useless if there isn't the expectation that any player, at any level, can't progress well through the evolution's.

I know that @Dony disagrees with this but an event should be designed for all players to equally have a chance at success. You can't create an event and say "here play this event but you can only win the good prizes if you are above chapter <x>". You can't exclude a large part of the playing community, especially the one that you want to hook into for the long term and to get to spend money.

The dev team is part way there by adjusting the difficulty of the quests by chapter but they should also adjust the prizes by level as well.

I think that they have also adjusted the quest type by chapter because for me the hardest quests are "Produce goods/supplies" and I get them frequently. The easiest quest is "Scout a province" and I think I got it once or twice and I am at the 27 ribbon level.

Here is an update on my last 9 quests.

Produce any type of good
Produce fresh supplies
Produce marble, steel or planks
Produce supplies
Trade with wholesaler
Produce fresh supplies
Produce marble, steel or planks
Spend 10 AW KP on another player or spend 15 KP
Produce fresh supplies

That's not true.
You can't get 2 "produce" quests in a row, only interleaved with something from left part of the list.
Gain a sack of SuppliesProduce a good amount of Marble, Steel or Planks
Gain a sack of CoinsProduce a good amount of Marble, Steel, Planks, Crystal, Scrolls or Silk
Solve 4 Spire Encounters and/or Solve 4 EncountersProduce a good amount of any type of regular Goods
Solve 2 Encounters or Solve 8 Tournament EncountersProduce fresh Supplies for the local food market
Give Neighborly Help 3 timesProduce Supplies to retool your craftsmen and workers
Place 5 trade offersProduce fresh Supplies to provide to the inhabitants of your city
Trade with the Wholesaler 7 timesResearch 1 Technology or Gain 15 Vision Vapor
Buy 10 Knowledge pointsTrain a fair amount of Units
Gain 400 Spell Fragments or Upgrade 1 building to level 4 or higherCollect 3 Enchantments from the Magic Academy
Invest 10 Knowledge Points into another players Ancient Wonder or Spend 15 Knowledge Points

And yet, your suggestion makes that low chance even lower. That's the point. We need to raise that chance, not lower it even more than it already is.
The change in chance is infinitesimal. Even if the particular quest ran 10 times during the overall event, the effect on prizes one would be indistinguishable for the average person, while offering a quest that affects every player, regardless of the chapter, in exactly the same way. As opposed to gain 25VV or Scout a province. Concern about spending the ribbons on an off-day is a knee Jerk reaction that does not take into consideration the reality of how the current event works. More than 95% of players would have no visible change in their prizes, and even those for whom it was visible, it would simply be having a Daily they don't want, which lots of people will end up with on the last day, anyway.

I am liking this new event style even less than my "abhor" statement some eleventy billion posts back. That "reshuffle" thing has skewered me SOO many times. And I have gotten the "double prize" thing TWICE on my last 50 bows, with no chance of another spin before it changes, both times because the quest I was on couldn't be finished in time, and even if I did, the 34 bows it offered wasn't enough. It is extremely frustrating. A game is supposed to be fun, this event format is the worst of the worst. Sigh....

This event is a joke is the fourth time that appears to me to buy 10 knowledge points, and lowering the price does not lower I do not buy KP nor to complete a survey now I have to buy another 10 KP without having to think well before sending this clown for the other servers, we are already tired of these unfair event is now losing everything.

@ashrem Even light decrease is still decrease. And do you realy think that if such quest is implemented it appears only 10 times and not 100 times?

Then there is a bug with the quest selection algorithm

New update on my last 11 quests.

Produce any type of good
Produce fresh supplies
Produce marble, steel or planks
Produce supplies
Trade with wholesaler
Produce fresh supplies
Produce marble, steel or planks
Spend 10 AW KP on another player or spend 15 KP
Produce fresh supplies
Gain 400 spell fragments
Produce a good amount of one type of Basic, crafted or magical goods

8 out of the last 11 quests were some form of "Produce" Quest.

Keep in mind that at chapter 3 some of these "produce" quests take almost a day to complete so this list is probably over a week old. The devs may have tweaked the algorithm over the past week to fix the back-to-back problem but note that they are still dominated by "Produce" taks which are difficult in my City.

I wonder if they have an algorithm that monitors the amount of time that it takes to complete a quest and then gives it a higher likelihood of it occurring again. This could easily explain how they try to "re-balance" based on abilities.

"Gain supplies" is not "produce", and can come up in a row with them.
isnt it also possible to get the same quest twice when you switch between the 'sections'? altho i assume the requirements are slightly different then aswell (slightly higher)

Out of the last 10 quests, 6 of them wanted supplies, not gain supplies, but produce supplies. The other 4 were NH, troops, invest KP, gain relics. And they don't want a small amount of supplies. Even with PoP on, it takes a WHILE to produce those supplies. I miss, miss, MISS the old quest system...SOO badly!

If they not broke something with their "balancing" changes - then it's not possible even on segment switch.
At least I never got quests from the same group in a row (I have full log of mine, with internal id's etc), and neither got anyone I know.
That's their current implementation of "non repetitive" quests. The worst one possible, though.
They have 2 quests per segment with a specific set of success conditions and switch those quests circularly.
